Lions' Bridge

Just one of the projects that the Lions Club has supported through the use of funds from Chase the Ace.

Take a walk on the Trans Canada Trail and

enjoy nature.  Have a rest on one of the benches and take in the beauty of the Qu'Appelle Valley.

This is who we are.

The approximately 40 members of Lumsden and District Lions Club are part of a global community dedicated to community and humanitarian service. As a local representative for the world’s largest service Club organization, with over 1.4 million Lions in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries around the world, we are proud to serve the Lumsden and District area.

This is who we serve.

At the heart of Lions clubs is one constant: Service. Lions Clubs International empowers volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding. Lions know that giving time and energy is a gift to the community, but service is a gift you give yourself. It is our belief that acts of kindness start locally and spreads around the world.

Thanks to the generosity of the people of Lumsden and surrounding communities the Lumsden Supermarket Christmas Hamper Donation program raised over $7500. A HUGE shoutout to TGP- The Grocery People, who matched the amount in the fund to help achieve this amazing total. These funds were used to purchase $500 Supermarket gift cards for 14 families as well as some Supermarket gift cards for Seniors in the community.

The Lions Club also purchased $75 Visa gift cards for each of the children in the sponsored families. Thank you to all the organizations and individuals who made donations to this fund and to The Lumsden Supermarket for helping to make Christmas a little better for so many folks! Merry Christmas everyone!

Our History & Our Future.

Lumsden gets a new dog park

The Lumsden Lions are pleased to work with the Town of Lumsden to build the new Dog Park in town. The Dog Park is located behind the Lumsden and District Heritage Home on Broad Street. The perimeter fence is now in place and the gates will be installed in the spring. The Dog Park includes a small dog area and will have a walking path designed for pet owners to use while their dogs enjoy their off leash freedom. The Lions Club heard many comments from town residents about this need and we were pleased to be able to assist in making this a reality in our town. We trust everyone will treat this area as their own and take care of the park.

Ticket of the Month Fundraiser

The Lumsden and District Lions are pleased to announce that we are re-starting the Ticket of the Month fundraiser (previously Trip of the Month), which supports playground equipment in Lumsden. Trip of the Month has been running for over 10 years. In that time, the Lumsden Lions have donated more than $100,000 towards playground equipment in Lumsden. In 2020, the TOM fundraiser was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lumsden and District Lions Club is very pleased to announce that the TOM fundraiser is back in 2022. Monthly prizes for the Ticket of the Month range in value from $650 to $4,500! As in previous years, all proceeds will go towards playground equipment!
